Let the Painted Giraffe Inn be your sanctuary! Located 30 miles west of Chicago, Metra Trains are minutes away for superb access to downtown Chicago, O’Hare and Midway Airports. You will be within walking distance to a 27-hole golf course, local bike, jogging and riding trails, as well as Forest Preserve amenities. Nearby town centers, Wheaton and Naperville, provide dozens of quaint shops, restaurants and movie theatres.
Painted Giraffe Inn will be a pleasant departure from the traditional "Victorian" B & B, as this 6000+ sq. ft. Contemporary brick manor is a bright and artistic haven. Cantilevered stone stairs lead you to sit in the outdoor spa (year-round) and enjoy the manicured grounds alongside a four-tiered waterfall which descends into a large pond. Beautiful on a hot summer night or even during a snowfall! Surrounded by perennial gardens, the in-ground heated pool (seasonal) will beckon to you from the covered veranda. With beautiful hardwood floors throughout the common areas, your choice of two Queen rooms includes access to the library/music room, and exercise room. An art gallery, billiards room, and an outdoor fire-pit are additional areas currently under construction and will soon be available for your enjoyment! Away from commotion and exorbitant city rates, our two luxurious ensuite rooms provide an escape from the congestion of Chicago.
The Mantle Room – named for its artwork; an original ink drawing of an historic fireplace mantle, from a home in the Frank Lloyd Wright district of nearby Oak Park, IL. Decorated in a crisp, metropolitan flair, the Mantle Room will be sure to meet your comfort needs away from home, whether business or pleasure! Luxurious towels and bedding, along with amenities you’d expect to find in the finest of hotels, all await you as we attempt to exceed your expectations. The bathroom is located ensuite and includes a large shower/tub. The Mantle room has access to the library/music room and the exercise room. *** Only the Harem Room has exclusive access to outdoor pool and spa***
The Harem Room – Wow! This seemingly endless retreat (800 sq ft.+) is the ideal spot for long getaway. Enter via the exotic antechamber, fashioned with yards of lush velvet and satin. Plush pillows, large fur throws, along with crystal and silk hanging lanterns, add to the ambiance. With direct access to the veranda and all outdoor luxuries, you may never want to leave this oasis, complete with raised whirlpool tub, walk-in shower, vanity, double-bowl sink, and heated ceramic floors (seasonal). *** Only the Harem Room has exclusive access to outdoor pool and spa***
During the week and weekends a full breakfast will be provided. Lighter fare or special diet accommodations are available upon request. Perfect spots to enjoy your morning repast may be pool-side, on the sheltered portico-surrounded by native bleu stone walkways and gardens, or at the family-style table. While dining “al fresco” take time to enjoy our resident hummingbirds, fish, frogs, butterflies, dragonflies, and “Tony” the tail-less squirrel!
